S2J Summer BioTech Tour - June 4 - 6, 2025
This June, take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the S2J Summer BioTech Tour. This unique event allows you to experience life sciences and biotechnology up close, connect with industry leaders, explore advanced facilities, and discover the latest innovations in human health, agriculture and animal sciences.

- Earn Continuing Education Credits: Missouri Middle and High School Science and AG Science teachers have the opportunity to earn four (4) Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) from Missouri Southern State University as participants in the MOBIO S2J Bus Tour. To earn the CEUs, participants must submit a two to three-page written reflection detailing how they will apply the knowledge gained from the Life Sciences and Biosciences immersive tour experiences to student learning in their classrooms.
A certificate will be provided upon completing and submitting the reflection. Registration information for the course will be taken from your application. Matt Beaver, MSSU S2J Co-Director and MOSO CAPS Facilitator, will be the instructor of record for the CEUs. His email address is beaver-m@mssu.edu. MOBIO will offset the cost of the Continuing Education Credits with scholarships.

Logistics: We will kick off our tour on the morning of June 4th at Missouri Southern State University, in Joplin, Missouri. From there, we will take a coach bus together to St. Louis. You will have a complimentary two-night room in our hotel block at the Doubletree by Hilton in Chesterfield. We will leave St. Louis on the afternoon of the 6th for our arrival back to Joplin.

Tour Schedule: Our tour begins the morning of the 4th at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, where we'll explore the latest advancements in cadaver table technology for enhanced learning. We'll then head to St. Louis for an action-packed day of unique experiences. On our final day, we will take-in a rare opportunity at Washington University before returning to Joplin, with an approximate arrival time of 7:00 p.m. For the best experience, we encourage you to start with us in Joplin, though you may join in St. Louis if needed. .
